About my practice
I specialize in working with the LGBT community, especially with individuals experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and sexual issues. As a gay person myself, I understand the unique challenges faced by our community throughout our development into adulthood and as we transition from one life phase to another. I have practiced as a counselor, hypnotherapist and psychotherapist in both private practice and mental health agency settings for over 12 years. I see clients in person in the Atlanta area and virtually from anywhere in the states of Georgia and Colorado. A number of benefits are available from participating in counseling, and hypnotherapy including: problem solving skills, and enhanced coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, grief, stress management, body image issues, sexual problems and creative blocks. I can provide a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or point you in the direction of a solution. The benefits you obtain from our sessions depend on how well you participate in the process and put into practice what you learn. Most importantly, I embrace a holistic approach to my work in which a client's entire being, feelings and context are taken into consideration for a more tailored approach to counseling. Ultimately, you are the expert on you, and I can help you to increase insight into your behaviors and motivations to create the optimal space for healthy change.
